Matcha Starter Kit — Bamboo Whisk, Ceramic Bowl, Whisk Holder, Sifter & Scoop
30-day returns on unused items
Why the Right Tools Matter
Matcha isn't difficult - but it is technique-sensitive. The most common problems (lumps, poor froth, bitter taste) usually come down to skipping one step or using the wrong tool.
This kit covers every step:
Sift first. Matcha powder clumps easily. Running it through the fine stainless sifter before you whisk breaks up those clumps and gives you a smoother result from the first sip.
Use the right bowl. The wide chawan gives your wrist room to move. The pour spout means less mess when you transfer to a cup. The two-tone stoneware keeps your matcha at the right temperature while you work.
Whisk properly. The bamboo chasen is what creates the froth. A quick W or M motion for 20–30 seconds is all it takes - the 80-tine construction does the work.
Store the whisk right. Sitting a wet chasen flat damages the prongs over time. The ceramic holder keeps it upright and in shape, which extends the life of the whisk significantly.
The Ceramic
The bowl and whisk holder share the same two-tone finish - white glaze on the interior and upper half, natural unfinished stoneware below. It's a clean, tactile aesthetic that looks good on a bench and feels good in your hands. Not precious - practical and nice.
